The Basic Services that Hotels Must Provide to Their Guests

Jun. 16, 2021

Some of the most imaginative hotels (in terms of hotel design and hotel amenities) are being developed around the world. From underwater hotels to treetop hideaways, new hotels are pushing the boundaries of the typical hotel experience.

Regardless of the amount of hotel innovation, there are still some "basic" requirements that all hotels should meet in order to make their experience both welcoming and comfortable for guests. Hoteliers and hotel staff: pay close attention to ensure that your hotel delivers on these expectations. Next, the hotel amenities supplier will share the following content with you.

1. Cleanliness

This is an absolute must. Hotels, whether they are Red Roof Inn or Bulgari Resorts, need to adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness, providing clean public spaces, bathrooms, bedrooms and amenities.

2. Adequate safety/security

For many people, hotels are like homes away from home. With this comes a huge expectation for the most diligent safety and security measures. Many hotels are now focused on providing personalized safety and security measures for different guest profiles such as women, children, and seniors. Technology is playing an increasingly important role in providing better security, but some guests are still placing more emphasis on personalization.

3. Internet

Guests in all types of hotels require some level of Internet service, but business hotels, in particular, must provide the highest level of connectivity and flexibility. In many, if not all hotels, guests expect free Internet access - for some hotels, free WiFi is as essential as the air we breathe.

4. Comfortable beds

Ultimately, a hotel provides a very basic need: it provides a place for you to rest, but only if the beds are good quality, clean, well-maintained and well-designed. It also needs to be well positioned in the room to allow for proper circulation. Some hotels are free to be creative with their pillow and blanket offerings, which is fine - as long as guests are happy with the options available to them.

5.Bathroom plumbing

The emphasis on "plumbing" rather than "good showers" or "hot water" is because it involves the entire bathroom. Hot water is useless if it's just a trickle; poor water flow in sinks and toilets is a heavy burden and inconvenience for any guest. All guests should expect clean drinking water; proper and constant hot water in the shower; running water in the sink and toilet; and no leaks.

6. Concentrate on answering the phone

Hotels generally have a standard "three-voice answer" policy; unfortunately, this doesn't happen as often as we would like. Sometimes, calls are directed to a seat with no information, and the call is simply answered at ...... and so on! Regardless of hotel class, hotels must assign a qualified agent who can effectively and efficiently answer guests' questions and concerns and refer them to the appropriate department only when absolutely necessary.

7. Lighting

This is a big problem for many hotels. From bathrooms to bedside lamps, most hotel rooms do not provide adequate lighting, which can be a hassle for all guests. Improved lighting can help enhance the guest room experience and provide a sense of security.
